AUTHOR INFORMATION

 

ORAL PRESENTATIONS GUIDELINES

 

Oral presentations are always accompanied by PowerPoint presentations. The speakers are entirely responsible for the presentation content (order, graphics etc…). All presentations and questions must be delivered in English, as English is the official language of the congress.

 

PRESENTATION FORMAT

In preparing your oral presentation please remember to:

  • Include clear objectives
  • Have a legitimate study design to investigate the stated objectives
  • Discuss valid, substantiated conclusions
  • Use clear and comprehensible language
  • Create relevant graphs, photos, tables using standard software

 All presentations should meet commonly compatible format, preferably using PowerPoint version 2010 or higher in 4:3 aspect ratio of 1024x768. Please download here the TEMPLATE FOR THE SLIDES.

 

Supported file types:

Presentation: PPT, PPA, PPTA, PPTX, PDF

Video: AVI, MPG, MKV, MOV, MP4, WMV. Audio: WMA, MP3, WAV

Please note it is not possible to display internet video.

Pictures: JPG, GIF, BMP, TIF

When saving the final presentation to a USB stick, all video files if having any and all links to these multimedia files must be saved on the device with the presentation.

NOTE:  There is no system for editing the slide in our session rooms.

Please note it is not possible to use your own pc; no MAC allowed.

Depositing the File

Presentations must be handed over to the personnel  in the slide center, with a USB stick, as far in advance as possible and THREE hours BEFORE the start of entire session. The presentation for an early morning session should be handed over the evening before.

Authors must present themselves to the Chairpersons of their session at least 10 minutes before their session starts in order to acquaint themselves with the equipment.

Please note it is not possible to use your own pc.

 

DU TILLOT ROOM

Depositing the File

Presentations must be handed over to the PC placed in du Tillot Room with a USB stick, as far in advance as possible and THREE hours BEFORE the start of entire session, during pauses . The presentation for an early morning session should be handed over the evening before.

Authors must present themselves to the Chairpersons of their session at least 10 minutes before their session starts in order to acquaint themselves with the equipment.

Please note it is not possible to use your own pc.

  TIME RESERVED FOR SCIENTIFIC PRESENTATIONS:

ORAL PRESENTATIONS: 12 minutes presentation + 3 minutes discussion

Or

SHORT COMMUNICATIONS: 4 minutes presentation

Please check in the final program in order to arrange your presentation accordingly



 

Authors are kindly requested to respect the indicate timings.

 You can check the timing of the oral sessions, and your presentation, on the website (under Scientific Program).

 


POSTER PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

 

In preparing your poster presentation please use the following guidelines:

 

• Size: 70cm (base) x 100cm (height) - in portrait orientation. The organizer will provide suitable fixing material.

• Written in English

• If figures are included, these should be clearly labelled and legible

 

Poster area will be open for mounting after registrations opening. You will be directed to the Poster area. Posters will remain displayed within the whole congress period and should be set up after the Closing Ceremony.  Each poster board was given a specific number. Authors are kindly asked to make sure to mount their poster on the poster board with the number corresponding to the number assigned to their poster presentation (e. g. P 01, P 02 etc…).

Your poster number can be found by checking the Index in the Abstract Book.

We strongly recommend that the authors are present next to their work during the poster sessions and breaks. Printing and transport of the poster is at author’s charge and care. No print onsite available.
